Additional Tips
  • Soft luggage: Use a duffel bag, hiking pack, or sports bag for easy packing into safari vehicles. Hard suitcases can be difficult to fit.
  • Backpack: Carry all your important items such as travel documents, money, camera, medication, etc., and keep it with you at all times.
  • Minimize luxury items: Leave hair dryers, expensive jewelry, make-up, and bulky toiletries at home. If in doubt, leave them out.
  • Cash management: Divide your cash into different areas of your carry-on luggage, wallet, and money belt to mitigate loss or theft.
  • Leave space for souvenirs: Plan for space in your luggage for souvenirs. While you can send packages home via DHL, it can be expensive.

By following this packing list, you’ll be well-prepared for your Tanzanian safari, ready to immerse yourself in the breathtaking experience of the African wilderness. Safe travels and enjoy your adventure!
